The NY Hip Hop Report is pretty self-explanatory when it comes to subject matter. We talk about New York (area) hip hop. But for episode 035, we decided to stretch it a bit, and ask our growing mass of faithful listeners and callers, “OK, you like NY hip hop. We do too. But, as NY-hip-hop-lovers, what ELSE do we like?”
We wanted to get some eclectic choices, knowing that New York hip hop heads traditionally pull inspiration from many different genres and musical styles.
We were not disappointed.
Many called in with suggested artists, ranging from R&B to Electronic to non-NY-area hip hop and more.
