New York Hip Hop Talk Radio – Presented by Birthplace Magazine (www.BirthplaceMag.com)
In this episode of The NY Hip Hop Report, we’ve recovered from our A3C Hip Hop Festival adventure, and are back highlighting New York hip hop artists, music, events and organizations. This week, hosts Manny Faces and Steven Ortiz of Birthplace Magazine interviewed Walter Hidalgo, author of Beyond The Four Walls, who works to highlight spirituality in hip hop and keep the community well connected to its roots.
We also get a quick recap of a big CMJ show from MeccaGodzilla who called in, telling us about performances from luminaries such as Large Professor and Asher Roth. We also had some call-in commentary from frequent listener KB Tindal.
The NY Hip Hop Report with Manny Faces airs Sunday nights from 10p-11p on the BlogTalkRadio network. Archives are available here, as well as through a free subscription on iTunes.
