The NY Hip Hop Report – A3C Hip Hop Festival Recap – Episode 022 [October 14, 2012]
Host of The NY Hip Hop Report and Editor-in-Chief of Birthplace Magazine Manny Faces attended (and participated in) this year’s 8th Annual A3C Hip Hop Festival, held in Atlanta, Georgia from October 11 through 13. On this episode of The NY Hip Hop Report, Manny recounts his three day experience at the festival from the road — literally — as he was driving back to New York from The A.
With show co-host and BirthplaceMag.com senior writer Steven Ortiz holding down the Q&A, Manny described the overall festival logistics, describing panel discussions (including the media panel he himself sat on, along with other hip hop journalism luminaries), as well as some of the performances by mainstream and independent artists alike.
Manny broke down the various reasons how the festival caters to not only artists and industry professionals, but regular fans as well, and he gave his report back as to who was the single most memorable artist that he discovered while at the A3C Hip Hop Festival.
