For Episode 008 of The NY Hip Hop Report, BirthplaceMag.com founder/EIC Manny Faces and Senior Staff Writer Steven Ortiz discuss New York hip hop, as always. Discussions included upcoming hip hop events in the New York area, a new release from 50 Cent, Frank Ocean’s announcement and other issues.

We also spoke with Wes Jackson, the Executive Director of the Brooklyn Hip-Hop Festival, now entering its eighth year, taking place this upcoming week at various venues throughout the borough, culminating with a main day concert featuring Busta Rhymes.
