New York Hip Hop Talk Radio – Presented by Birthplace Magazine (www.BirthplaceMag.com)
For Episode 007 of The NY Hip Hop Report, BirthplaceMag.com founder/EIC Manny Faces and Senior Staff Writer Steven Ortiz discuss their appearance on Ife Dancy Presents The Hip Hop TakeOver on WBAI in New York City over the past weekend, and discussed a wide range of topics, including some New York-area hip hop artists making noise, Hip Hop Squares, Hot 97 and more. A call from Mike Brown in Philly sparked discussion about Rakim, 50 Cent, Azealia Banks and artists using social media to spread word about their musical brand. We had some technical difficulties that you’ll occasionally hear through the archive playback, but we are aware of it and will work to clean it up before next Sunday’s episode. For now, check out the full show, and be sure to check us out LIVE Sunday nights, 10p-11p at The NY Hip Hop Report (swing over now and “follow” the show to get an email reminder when we’re about to air).
